Who and Where

Who and Where

Many faces on the street

Some smiling, some sad

Cigar lips, serious minds

Quarelling few, caring some

Hefty fellows, lean people

Friendly speech, fearful walk

Alongwith bullock, alone with umbrella

Carrying children, careless running

Mobile on ear, talking to themselves

Who are they, Where do they go

---------------- Nagendra Bharathi

  1. They are alone in the rain with leaky umbrellas, some smiling in polite sadness, even with mobile phones, unconnected to compassion, desperate for an appearance on the stage of performers who are secretly loved off-stage.

  2. truly...every person in the crowd has their own problems,happiness...but they all have a thing in common...they have to move...nice poem...
